Tips on Bringing the Elegance of Spring Inside

Flowers

When I think of decorating for spring, my mind immediately goes to bunnies and pastel colors.  And while those things can be adorable and definitely have their place in the season, when I dig a little deeper, there’s a more elegant approach to spring inspired design elements that appeals to me even more.  I’ve compiled a hopefully helpful little list of a few tips from our Boston interior design service on how to use spring as an inspiration for unique and modern decor.

Shades of Green

Springtime just explodes with different shades of green, everywhere you look.  Take advantage of all those beautiful layers of color and bring some of it indoors in the form of potted plants, vine garlands or simple wreaths made of non-flowering greens.

Pick One Flower You Love

It’s really easy to go overboard with the fresh flowers during this season.  Keep it simple and elegant by picking the one spring flower that you love the best – because it’s beautiful, because it smells amazing, or it reminds you of happy things – and only use that flower inside.  The overall effect will be striking.

Glass Vase Variety

When you’re trying to figure out how to display the flower you’ve chosen as your spring favorite, try using different sizes and shapes of clear glass vases.  Nothing exorbitant here – we’re talking vintage bottles and containers that are aesthetically pleasing to your eye.  A grouping of these on a sideboard or as a centerpiece, holding one or two stems of your flower will look amazing.

We hope these tips have stirred your decorating imagination.  Boston is full of interior design inspirations and I know if you take a moment to look around, you’ll find the beauty in something surprising this spring as well.
